Why does my gas heater require servicing?

It is recommended to have your gas heater serviced by a gas appliance specialist every 2 years. An unserviced gas heater is inefficient and expensive to run, and if left unchecked can cause a house fire or pollute your home with dangerous fumes.

Book an appointment with us ASAP if you notice something wrong with your gas heater such as: difficulty lighting it, yellow flames, unusual smells or noisy or inoperable fans.

How does a wall furnace work?

Gas wall furnaces are ideal for heating the living areas in your home . They work by passing cold air over a heat exchanger, which is warmed by gas combustion. The warmed air is then pushed through a vent into the room. A thermostat is installed inside the heater. This senses the air temperature inside the room and sends a signal to the heater to turn on or off, or turn up or down.

Wall furnaces deliver floor level warmth to efficiently heat a vast size of living areas. No ductwork is required, as the unit draws in cooler air from a vent in the top and blows heated air directly into the room.
